Сам по себе гидравлический усилитель руля имеет вполне надежную конструкцию, которая, однако, не лишена и своих слабых мест. Если вы будете регулярно поворачивать рулевое колесо до упора, парковаться, оставляя автомобиль с выкрученными колесами, то нагрузка на узел будет увеличиваться.

Так происходит из-за особенностей работы данной системы. Во время поворота руля давление в узле увеличивается. Если не отпустить руль сразу, откроется клапан сброса давления и выпустит часть жидкости, которая распределится по патрубкам системы, тем самым защищая себя от повреждений. Однако такая нагрузка не может пройти без последствий.

Повреждение шлангов. Из-за повышенного давления при повороте руля до упора страдают самые уязвимые места. В первую очередь могут лопнуть шланги, которые зачастую проложены с изгибами, из-за чего деформируются и быстро изнашиваются. Лопнувший шланг становится причиной разгерметизации системы…
